STREAMS

1A. VENUE OPS

Blood, sweat n’ beers.

Dive into the nitty gritty of running and managing the operations of a venue.

You will earn your tools of the trade, and create the foundation for a career in hospitality.

01. Formal Training:

Cert IV in Hospitality. 

OCG is partnering with Allara Learning to provide formal, nationally recognised training for our people. You will work alongside others in this stream to develop foundational Venue Ops knowledge in session-based and on-the-job formats.

02. Mentorship:

Dedicated Growth.

A tailored program and access to an Odd Culture Mentor, fit to your skills and area of interest, to meaningfully develop your career and impart the value of their industry experience in your development path.

03. Immersion:

Wealth of the Industry. 

Opportunities for placements group-wide alongside your Mentor, taking part in projects and roles to which you may otherwise not have access.

What happens when I finish?

  • Automatic qualification and preference for candidacy in internal Operations role vacancies.
  • Receipt of a nationally-recognised qualification.
  • Become an Odd Culture Group Mentor.
  • Greater cross-group mobility.
  • Eligibility for the OCG Leadership Program.

1B. KITCHEN OPS

Forged by fire.

Learn to run a successful kitchen.

Gain the cooking and operational skills to hone your trade.

You will earn your chef’s whites, and lay the foundation for a leadership career in kitchens.

01. Formal Training:

Cert IV in Commercial Cookery. 

OCG is partnering with Allara Learning to provide formal, nationally recognised training for our people. You will work alongside others in this stream to develop foundational Kitchen Ops knowledge in session-based and on-the-job formats.

02. Mentorship:

Dedicated Growth.

A tailored program and access to an Odd Culture Mentor, fit to your skills and area of interest, to meaningfully develop your career and impart the value of their industry experience in your development path.

03. Immersion:

Wealth of the Industry.

OCG is partnering with Allara Learning to provide formal, nationally recognised training for our people. You will work alongside others in this stream to develop foundational knowledge in largely theory-based sessions with your colleagues; developing a major project focused on leading through innovation.

02. Mentorship:

Dedicated Growth.

A tailored program and access to an Odd Culture Mentor, fit to your skills and area of interest, to meaningfully develop your career and impart the value of their industry experience in your development path.

03. Immersion:

Wealth of the Industry. 

Opportunities for placements group-wide alongside your Mentor, taking part in projects and roles to which you may otherwise not have access.

What happens when I finish?

  • Automatic qualification and preference for candidacy in Executive and Leader role vacancies.
  • Receipt of a nationally-recognised qualification.
  • Periodical leaders’ retreat with the Executive Team.
