Enmore’s royal portal to the underworld has reopened. The Duke’s Darklord skulks and stalks the streets on the hunt for its pint-slinging purveyor of picklebacks, lich of live tunes and late nights – a spectre of stiff drinks and good times.

We’re looking for a tried and true Assistant GM, well versed in the back-of-house (under)world – this means stocktake, ordering, training and managing staff, thinking on your feet and solving problems –  we want you looking at the venue like it’s your own little twisted offspring, and helping it grow into an even bigger, uglier beast.

Our wet dream candidate will have some notches in their belt, with proven management experience. Your leadership hat should be long, broad, and fit ya like a champ.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Writing and controlling an effective and budgeted roster for our team of goblins
  • Helping the GM build and retain a strong and reliable team of said goblins
  • Manage procedures for training and development, including key ops tasks (opens, closes, maintaining service standards, and managing back-of-house)
  • Conducting accurate stock takes in set time frames with effective loss investigation procedures, maintaining full stock take accountability
  • Controlling stock and beverage GP% against budgets
  • Ensuring the effective operation of all bars (including back-of-house aspects) before, during and after service
  • Great attention to detail, fact-checking and problem solving abilities
  • Collaborate with the GM to maintain and grow The Duke’s dominion over Enmore, the Inner West, and Beyond.

Experience:

  • Tried and true management of similar-sized venues with a strong venue operations background
  • Great leadership demonstrated by a history of recruiting, developing and retaining staff
  • In-depth knowledge of Kounta will be favoured but may be trained
  • Ordering, stocktake, cellar management and beer knowledge is essential
